Urban Foraging & Fermenting Workshop

Commissioned by the Delfina Foundation for their artist residents.

As part of the opportunities they offer artists and curators on their residency, the Delfina Foundation commissioned me to run a foraging and fermenting tour around East London. The workshop placed emphasis on embodied knowledge and queer eco-piracy by working with non-normative practices within an urban environment.

Starting in a park, we jointly foraged hedgerow fruits, while sharing plant-based knowledge. We then returned to my kitchen to ferment the fruits into champagne that they could drink a few days later.

As part of the event, residents received a zine with information and recipes and were invited to sample the other champagnes I had made during the fermenting workshop.
